Bruce Fyksen, MS, LADC, LPC
In 2004, I began working for a clinical psychologist who treated those with addiction, anxiety and depression. Upon his premature death, I pursued professional accreditation and graduated in 2017 with a psychology degree. I launched my professional career in Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) working as a mental health practitioner for a large mental health agency. Today, I am in private practice.
Years of Experience: since 2004
Office Location(s): Teletherapy
Areas of Expertise: Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Post-Abortion Counseling, and Domestic Abuse, including anger and stress management.
Areas of Interest: Addiction, Ex-military, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and mental, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.
Clinical Approach: My approach is to help clients explore how their maladaptive thinking processes influence their feelings and emotions and how these emotions affect their behavior. Together we collaborate on how by changing our thinking, we can change our feelings and emotions and how this change affects our behavior. Symptoms of addiction, anxiety and depression seem to be minimized by this process.
